NY Trip highlights

On Friday I went to NYC for the fine art field trip. Heather, Rachal and I tagged along with my professor Vonn for the day. We started our day in Chelsea, seeing a lot of impressive current work on display there. Here are a few of my favorites.

Anton Kern Gallery
 Jonas Wood Bird Cages; 2010

There were many more galleries in Chelsea, but these are the ones that made an impression. Next we took the subway over to Midtown and went to the MoMA (p.s. my first time there). We saw the Abstract Expressionist New York show, which I have to say was pretty awesome. Here is a link to a video about the show: Abstract Expressionist New York

Here are a few of the pieces I found appealing from the show:
Philip Guston The Clock; 1956-57

Jackson Pollock One: Number 31, 1950; 1950

I left my bag at home, but once I find the postcards from the other shows, I will add them.
